Independent product review

A Monero wallet review built around evidence.

This is a product review, not a promise of safety. It covers what the extension does, what stays local, what a node can see and what the product does not support.

What it does well

Local wallet operations with visible boundaries.

The listing describes a non-custodial wallet that creates, encrypts and uses keys in the browser. It supports accounts, labeled subaddresses, QR payment requests, transaction review, history, CSV export and offline message signing.

It also supports a built-in public node or a node you add yourself. A node can still observe connection metadata such as your IP address and synchronization timing, so “private” does not mean invisible.

What to consider

Convenience does not make it cold storage.

This is a hot wallet. The listing says it is not independently audited and does not support hardware wallets, multisig or dApp connections. There is no password reset, and clearing extension data can erase saved wallets.

For real funds, verify the source, practise on stagenet and keep your recovery phrase offline.

Review verdict

Useful for a focused Chrome workflow, not a universal wallet.

Best fit

Users who want a local browser wallet and understand node and backup trade-offs.

Not the best fit

Users seeking cold storage, hardware signing, multisig or dApp connections.

Verify first

Check the live Chrome listing, version and publisher before every installation.

Never share

Support should never ask for a seed phrase, private key or wallet password.
